VDR-S made by Alnet Systems is professional digital recording system with video transmission capability. Thanks to the innovatory solutions in the image compression technology our system is perfect for digital surveillance through the low bandwidth transmission media like GSM/GPRS. The dif ferential image- compression method, while excellent image quality, allows image recording longer than in other systems of this type, at the same file size. The differential image-recording algorithm used does not replace the entire new frame but only its part that has changed. The replaced image fragments are called deltas in the system. It allows to record up to 60 days on the 60 GB hard drive for 16 camera (5 fps for each camera). This parameters are very hard to gain on the MPEG-4 or Wavelet compression systems.
Access to the video database can by gain by any type of connection base on TCP/IP protocol with the to monitor the situation remotely from any place on the whole word or by the use of the local area network (LAN). Client application is also using differential image-compression method which allows to reduce data transmission to minimum in LAN and also allows to gain a smooth transmission through the slow connections like dial-up or GPRS. VDR-C application is working on the wide variety of the operating systems like Windows 98/2000/XP and also on the mobile computers like PocketPC (PDA) or mobile phones working on SymbianOS or SmartPhone platform.
Client application for mobile phones and PocektPC allows to monitor the system from any place on the world without any special devices. In such situation security has a full “live” access to the cameras just by using simple pocket PDA along with wireless network board. This solution allows to efficiently increase security by reducing the number of security personnel. VDR-S digital recording system is perfect for remote monitoring of multi installations spreaded throughout the large area. Transmission to the VDRC client application can be established with the use of cable or wireless transmission technologies like GPRS/EDGE based on TCP/IP protocol.
Our Mobile Client software provides easy and simple access to live video from the VDR-S server using the mobile phone network. The archives or live vision can be viewed from any location in the world in full color on the screen of the mobile phone. This client already supports or will support most of the popular cell phones based on Symbian OS, PocketPC or SmartPhone
